Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Boneless, skinless preferred
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For drizzling over chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Take the chicken breasts and place them in a baking dish. Drizzle the olive oil over each piece and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Evenly spread the ricotta mixture over the top of each chicken breast, making sure to cover them well.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Look for the chicken to be cooked through (the internal temperature should reach 165°F) and the cheese mixture to be golden and bubbling.
  2. Optional: Garnish with fresh herbs before serving warm.

Notes

Ensure the ricotta mixture is well combined for a smooth texture; lumps can lead to uneven baking. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness to prevent overcooking. Let the dish rest for a few minutes after baking to allow the flavors to meld. For added flavor, consider mixing in fresh spinach or sun-dried tomatoes into the cheese mixture. Serve it with a side of crusty bread to soak up the delicious cheesy sauce.
