Ingredients

For the Muffins
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Ensures a tender and fluffy texture.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Adds sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder Helps achieve the perfect rise.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Adds richness.
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the Crumble Topping
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats Creates a delightful crunch.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; it’s okay if a few lumps remain.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, rolled oats, and cinnamon for the crumble topping.
Baking
  1. Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with the batter, then sprinkle the crumble mixture on top, ensuring even coverage.
  2. Place the muffin tin in the air fryer and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

If muffins are browning too quickly, lower the temperature slightly to prevent burning while allowing the inside to cook thoroughly. Consider adding fresh fruit or nuts for variations.
