  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Packed.
  • 1 large egg At room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons cotton candy flavoring/extract Use sparingly for best flavor.
  • 1-2 drops pink and blue food coloring For achieving swirl effect.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Divide the dough into two portions. Tint one half with pink food coloring and the other half with blue food coloring.
  7. Gently twist the two portions together to create a marbled effect.
Baking
  1. Using a cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center looks slightly underdone.
  3. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
