Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and set out baking sheets.
- Cream the butter and sugars in a large bowl until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing until incorporated, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped cotton candy and sprinkles.
Baking
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden and centers look set but still soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
For best results, make sure to use softened butter and pull the cookies out when the centers look just set. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet before moving.
