Method
 

Preparation of Mashed Potatoes
  1. Begin by boiling the potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Drain the water and mash the potatoes with 1/2 cup of milk and 2 tablespoons of butter until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
Cooking the Shrimp
  1. In a skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp, seasoning with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and let the mixture simmer for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serving
  1. Spoon the creamy garlic butter shrimp generously over the mashed potatoes and garnish with chopped parsley.
