  • to taste Salt Add to taste
  • cooking oil for frying To achieve a crispy coating
For Assembly
  • 4 pieces burger buns Soft and fresh
  • to taste Lettuce leaves For freshness and crunch

Method

Preparation
  1. Marinate the chicken by adding the chicken breasts to buttermilk. Let it sit for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, lemon pepper seasoning, and a pinch of salt to create the coating.
Cooking
  1. Heat cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Coat the chicken thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  3. Fry the coated chicken in the hot oil for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  4. Toast the burger buns in the same pan or an oven until golden.
Assembly
  1. Place the crispy chicken breast on the bottom half of each bun.
  2. Top with fresh lettuce and optional lemon slices.
  3. Add the top half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure oil is at the right temperature before frying to avoid excessive oil absorption. Optional toppings like avocado or pickles can enhance flavor; add them just before serving to maintain freshness.
