Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz Fettuccine, Penne, or Fusilli Choose pasta that holds sauce well.
Creamy Sauce Base
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For sautéing.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 cup Heavy cream For creaminess.
  • 1 cup Grated cheese (Parmesan or any preferred cheese)
Optional Additions
  • 1 cup Cooked chicken or shrimp For protein.
  • 1 cup Sautéed mushrooms
  • 1 cup Spinach, sautéed
  • to taste Basil or parsley, chopped For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a sauté pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped onion, cooking until softened.
Cooking the Sauce
  1. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  2. Stir in the grated cheese until melted and smooth.
  3. Add any optional proteins and vegetables at this stage, letting them cook through.
Combining
  1. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
