- Slowly stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined; do not overmix—the batter should have a few lumps.
Baking
- Pour the batter evenly over the peaches in the baking dish, covering as much fruit as possible.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
