Ingredients

Chicken and Seasoning
  • 2 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 6–8 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (Extra virgin if possible)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp salt (Adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (Freshly cracked)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (Chopped, for garnish optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the chicken breasts thoroughly with the seasoning mix until evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  2. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 9 minutes. Then, carefully flip the chicken using tongs and cook for an additional 8–9 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Finishing Touch
  1. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
  2. For a finishing touch, sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Ensure your air fryer is properly preheated to guarantee even cooking and crisping. For enhanced flavor, let the seasoned chicken sit for 15–30 minutes at room temperature before cooking. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to avoid undercooked chicken. If you're making more than two chicken breasts, do so in batches to ensure even air circulation and optimal cooking. For added crispiness, you can lightly spray the seasoned chicken with olive oil before placing it in the air fryer.
