Ingredients
  

For the Tea
  • 4 cups Water
  • 4 bags Green tea bags or 4 tsp loose-leaf green tea Use high-quality green tea for better flavor.
  • 1 large apple, any sweet variety, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons Honey or to taste Adjust sweetness to preference.
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and grated (optional) Increases warmth and flavor.
For Garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional) Adds elegance to the drink.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by bringing 4 cups of water to a near boil in a saucepan, then remove it from the heat.
  2. Add the green tea bags and grated ginger to the hot water, allowing them to steep for about 3 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea to remove the bags and ginger pieces, making sure the liquid is clear.
  4. While the tea is still warm, add the thinly sliced apple and let it infuse for 30 minutes.
  5. Stir in honey to taste while the tea is still warm, adjusting the sweetness according to your preference.
  6. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator to chill for about 1-2 hours.
Serving
  1. To serve, pour the chilled tea into glasses filled with ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves for an aromatic touch.

Notes

Store any leftover iced apple green tea in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best consumed within 2-3 days for optimal flavor. Can be made ahead of time to let flavors meld.
