Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

For the filling
  • 1 jar jam or fruit curd of your choice Select flavors you enjoy.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and set your tart pans nearby.
  2. In a bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy and lighter in color.
  3. Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix in the flour until a cohesive dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut circles to fit your tart pans.
  6. Press the dough circles into the tart pans and fill each with jam or fruit curd, avoiding overfilling.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the edges are lightly golden and the filling looks glossy.
  2. Cool in the pans to allow the crust to set and the filling to firm up before removing.

Notes

For best results, ensure butter is fully softened, avoid overmixing the dough, and store tarts in an airtight container at room temperature. Refrigerate if made with fruit curd.
