  • 1 kg Carne de tu elección (res, cerdo o pollo)
  • 250 g Champiñones frescos
  • 1 cup Crema de leche
  • 1 medium Cebolla
  • 2 cloves Ajo minced
  • to taste Sal
  • to taste Pimienta
  • 2 tablespoons Aceite de oliva for cooking
  • 4 servings Puré de patatas (patatas, mantequilla, leche) for serving

Method
 

Cooking the Meat
  1. In a hot skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add your choice of meat and cook until it’s nicely browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Sautéing Aromatics
  1. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes, or until the onions become translucent and fragrant.
Cooking the Mushrooms
  1. Introduce the fresh mushrooms and continue cooking for another 5 minutes, letting them release their moisture and soften.
Making the Sauce
  1. Pour in the cream and reduce the heat to low, simmering for about 5-8 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting the flavors as needed.
Serving
  1. Serve the juicy meat topped with the creamy mushroom sauce over a generous portion of fluffy mashed potatoes.

Notes

For best results, sear the meat well and use fresh mushrooms. Adjust seasoning based on meat type and taste as you go. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
