Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder Use high-quality, bright green matcha for best flavor.
  • 1 cup warm milk (dairy or non-dairy) Choose your preferred type of milk.
  • Sweetener to taste (sugar, honey, or syrup) Adjust sweetness according to preference.
  • Ice Only if you prefer a chilled version.

Method

Preparation
  1. If making a hot version, heat the milk in a small saucepan over low heat until warm but not boiling.
  2. In a separate bowl, sift the matcha powder to eliminate any clumps.
  3. Gradually whisk in a couple of tablespoons of the warm milk into the matcha powder to create a thick paste.
  4. Once the matcha is smooth, incrementally stir in the remaining warm milk while whisking continuously until fully combined and frothy.
  5. If making an iced version, fill a glass with ice before pouring in the matcha mixture.
  6. Taste your latte and add sweetener to your liking, stirring well to combine.
  7. Serve immediately, enjoying the beautifully frothy texture and vibrant green color.

Notes

Use fresh matcha for best results and always sift it to prevent clumping. Milk should be warm but not boiling. Whisk vigorously for frothiness.
