Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a vigorous boil.
  2. Add the 2 tablespoons of green tea leaves and the 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, stirring gently.
  3. Allow this mixture to boil for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it darkens to a deep mahogany color.
  4. Gradually add in 2 cups of milk and sugar according to your taste.
  5. Continue boiling until the mixture transforms into a beautiful pink hue.
  6. Stir in the crushed cardamom pods and let them infuse for about a minute.
  7. Carefully pour the chai into cups, garnishing each with chopped pistachios and almonds before serving.

Notes

For the best flavor, always use fresh green tea leaves and good-quality milk. This chai is best served hot.
