Ingredients

Brownie base
  • 1 box standard box brownie mix Use any preferred brand.
  • 1/4 cup water or milk As per box instructions.
  • 1/2 cup melted butter As per box instructions.
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded coconut Toasted if desired.
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce For mixing into the batter and for drizzling.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Add more for extra chocolate flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts Optional; can substitute with other toppings.
  • 1/4 cup additional caramel For drizzling on top before serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the brownie mix box and grease a baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the contents of the brownie mix with the melted butter and either water or milk, stirring until well blended and smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the shredded coconut, chocolate chips, and chopped nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into your prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.
Baking
  1. Bake according to the instructions on the box—typically about 20-25 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Once done baking, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool for 10 minutes before drizzling the remaining caramel sauce on top.
  3. Cut the cooled brownies into squares and serve them warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For better results, allow brownies to cool before cutting for cleaner edges. Consider variations with different toppings or nut types.
