  • 2 cups rolled oats For texture and base.
  • 1 cup nuts or seeds Optional mix-ins for added crunch.
Sticky Ingredients
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup For binding the bars together.
  • ½ cup peanut butter or almond butter Additional binding and flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a bowl, combine rolled oats and nuts/seeds.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix honey/maple syrup and nut butter until well combined.
  4. Pour the sticky mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated.
Pressing
  1. Transfer the mixture into the lined pan and press firmly into an even layer, ensuring compactness.
  2. Use the back of a spoon or a flat-bottomed cup to press down.
Chilling
  1. Place the pan in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to allow the bars to firm up.
  2. Once firm, lift the slab out of the pan using the parchment liner.
  3. Slice into desired sizes for servings.

Notes

Customize bars with different mix-ins like dried fruit, chocolate chips, or other nut varieties. Keep bars in an airtight container in the fridge for optimal freshness.
